Helloween debuts glorious new reunion song ‘Fear of the Fallen’

0

After making his debut in Kai Hansen’s epic, “Skyfall,” Helloween is back with a lyrical music video for “Fear of the Fallen,” the second track from their historic reunion album which reunites with classical singer Michael Kiske and co-founder guitarist / singer Hansen returns to the ranks of power metal creators.

“Fear of the Fallen” is one of four songs by Helloween written only by singer Andi Deris (he also co-wrote with Sascha Gerstner on another) and gives fans the very first taste of his writing style with Kiske and Hansen in the mix.

This is the trademark Helloween – a powerful five-and-a-half-minute corker that forces the listener to think about some of life’s more cerebral topics and their own direction in life. Unlike “Skyfall,” which was released as an abridged version of the 12-minute studio track, the vocal compromise between Deris and Kiske is much more pronounced, providing room for shade and character and the union of two of Helloween’s most prominent singers on some spectacular harmonies.

“I had so much fun not only writing a song for my voice but also for one of the greatest singers. I always have an extremely wide smile on my face when I hear Michi singing my tunes,” Deris said. .

Kiske added, “The whole process, including the spirit, was just ideal. If I had a feeling that one part wouldn’t really fit, I asked Andi if he would sing it and vice versa. There was no competition at all – what mattered was what was best for the respective song. I’m grateful to be (again) part of this crazy family. love all of them. “

Helloween song lyrics, “Fear of the Fallen”

Decide and hold your position, my friend
Refuse and your fall goes hand in hand
Decide, decide, decide

False saints and believers
Enemies and deceivers
Have you now chosen a side?
(Decide)
It’s time to retract
We are ready and standing
Cowards can run, can’t hide
(Decide)

Here comes the fear of the dead
We get up when you call
A light in the night
We are the flame in the fire
The voice in the choir
We are always nearby

Is this the route you are taking?
Is this the life you are pursuing?
(Decide)
Is your own heart beating?
Are you the one feeling?
(Decide)
(Decide)

Here comes the fear of the dead
We get up when you call
A light in the night
We are the flame in the fire
The voice in a choir
We are always nearby

Is this the route you are taking?
Is this the life you are pursuing?
(Decide)
(Decide)

Decide and hold your position, my friend
The world will surely change in the end
Decide (Decide)
Listen, decide (decide)
Decide (Decide)
Listen, decide (decide)

Listen (listen, listen) to your heart
Listen (listen, listen) to your heart
Listen (listen, listen)

Here comes the fear of the dead
We get up when you call
A light in the night
We are the flame in the fire
The voice in a choir
We are always nearby

(Decide)
(Decide)
